FT voucher

Alias "ORDER FOR INVESTIGATION/INSPECTION"

Thanks to the FT voucher, your insurance company largely contributes to your treatment. An FT voucher is a prescription that determines the direction of therapy and specifies the physician's requirements. It is most often issued by an orthopaedic surgeon, surgeon, neurologist, rehabilitation and general practitioner or a doctor of another specialty.

Once the FT voucher has been issued, it is up to you which surgery you prefer, but do not delay in making an appointment as the voucher is valid for 7 days from the date of issue. You must make an appointment before then. If you already have a voucher, you can make an appointment with us by phone, email or through our online booking system. Appointments fill up very quickly and starting early is often crucial for a successful treatment, so
do not delay in making an appointment.

The FT voucher specifies the therapeutic interventions and treatment specifications using codes. Each code is accompanied by the number of repetitions. Most often the doctor prescribes 6-10 visits. Everything is individual according to each diagnosis and the current condition of the patient.

To give you an idea, such a prescription may look like this:

21001 - initial kinesiological analysis (1x)
21413 - soft tissue techniques (6-8x)
21415 - spinal and peripheral joint mobilisation (6-8x)
21221 - individual kinesiotherapy (6-8x)

These procedures are then reimbursed by the health insurance company.

Conditions of a valid FT voucher:

Not to be confused with a K voucher, this cannot be accepted.
The voucher should not be older than 7 days.
A specific diagnosis must be filled in on the voucher.

However, the FT voucher is not a requirement to see a physiotherapist. You can also make an appointment on your own initiative as a preventive measure or for acute musculoskeletal pain. And when is it appropriate to visit physiotherapy? Find out in the next article on the website of Moado Physiotherapy Ltd.
